Where Machines Yield to Master Hands
While modern CNC machining can shape metal to micron tolerances, it can never breathe soul into a movement. Every bridge, lever, and screw in a Kronos timepiece undergoes hundreds of hours of manual finishing by a single designated watchmaker from start to final casing.
Our watchmakers use traditional wood peg files coated with natural diamond paste sourced from the Swiss Jura mountains, polishing internal angles that no machine tool could ever reach.
Hand Mirror Anglage (Berçage)
Bridges receive a gentle curved chamfer along every edge, creating dazzling optical light play when the watch moves on the wrist. Sharp interior angles require up to 14 hours per individual component.
Black Polish (Poli Noir)
Steel tourbillon bridges and screw heads are rubbed against a zinc plate with diamond compound until they achieve absolute optical flatness—appearing either blinding white or deep pitch black depending on the light angle.
The Poinçon de Genève
Every Kronos timepiece bears the official Geneva Seal stamped directly into the mainplate and bridge. This independent canton inspection guarantees 100% Genevan manufacture, chronometric precision tested across 7 days in 6 positions, and absolute artisanal finish.
